The Campfire runs social group sessions using Dungeons & Dragons to develop social skills, friendships and creative interests.

We run these story-based games, hand-crafted for each group, in accessible ways to offer play-based learning opportunities such as:​

  • Strategic Problem Solving

  • Literacy and Numeracy

​We offer a wide range of activities, based on our client's interests, such as bouldering, arts and crafts, board games and virtual reality.

​NDIS participants can claim the cost of sessions through their plans under Core and Capacity Building.

Dungeons & Dragons

Our group leaders run weekday and weekend sessions for groups of four to five. We assist players to find the right group for them.​

These games see players creatively build their own characters and play through adventures tailored to their interests. The Campfire has designed its own accessible rules for these games, developed in consultation with a senior disability education specialist.​

Players experience in-game social interactions and decision-making at their own pace, in smaller segments than a real-world situation.

​Sessions are generally 3-4 hours, including gameplay and lunch. Food, games and necessary equipment are provided.

Warhammer

We provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals to explore their creativity and develop social connections while engaging in the captivating world of Warhammer 40k.

Our program guides participants through every step of the hobby, from assembling intricate miniature models to mastering various painting techniques. Learn to craft your own unique armies, and then engage in thrilling tabletop battles, where strategic thinking and camaraderie take center stage.

We emphasize a collaborative atmosphere, fostering peer support and shared enjoyment of this engaging hobby. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a complete beginner, you'll find a welcoming community here.
